Andr\\xe9 Gagn\\xe9 is Full Professor in the Department of Theological Studies at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. He was Directeur d'\\xe9tudes invit\\xe9 at\\xa0l'\\xc9cole pratique des hautes \\xe9tudes\\xa0in Paris in 2017.

His research focuses on\\xa0the (Neo)Charismatic Right, Pentecostalism,\\xa0evangelicalism, fundamentalism, religious violence and the interpretation and reception of the Bible. In his scholarship, Dr. Gagn\\xe9 seeks to explain how biblical texts and theological ideas are sometimes used by ultra conservative groups to incite social, political and religious\\xa0tensions.

Dr. Gagn\\xe9 is also\\xa0a\\xa0Full Member of the\\xa0Centre for the Study of Learning and Performance\\xa0(Concordia), a Research Associate with the Centre de recherche Soci\\xe9t\\xe9, Droit et Religion (Universit\\xe9 de Sherbrooke), and a\\xa0Co-Researcher\\xa0with the\\xa0Centre d'expertise de formation sur les int\\xe9grismes religieux, les id\\xe9ologies politiques et la radicalisation\\xa0(CEFIR)."
