Weekend Update #2: The State of Vaccine Development and Medications That Are Being Evaluated to Treat COVID-19 | Ted O'Connell, MD

Published: March 29, 2020, 9:36 p.m.

Originally recorded March 28, 2020. In this weekend's update, Dr. O’Connell discusses the various treatments being used and vaccines that are being developed. Medications and treatments being used include Remdesivir, Chloroquine, Hydroxychloroquine and convalescence serum. Some drugs and treatments have shown better results than others but more testing needs done. Unfortunately the first commercially available vaccines will not be ready for 12-18 months.
