The gospel of Mark records the incident of the Greek woman begging Jesus to deliver her daughter from a demon, and receiving an uncharacteristically brusque response in return. However, that did not deter her from pressing in and courageously standing her ground- and so she received her miracle. The widow in Luke's gospel was equally insistent on receiving justice from the Judge, and out of sheer frustration he gave in. How much more, then, will God grant us our requests if we are persistent and unoffended in our approach towards Him? So don't cast away your confidence and never give up. Persistence results in answered prayer.
