The Gospels record for us the life of Jesus Christ and many of His teachings. There were times when Jesus spoke to the multitudes and there were times, when His message was addressed to the Pharisees. But one of the main audience He spoke to was His own disciples. Many of these conversations were hard-hitting and challenging. However, these were specific issues that pertain to following Jesus and essential to our understanding of what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. Our Lord tackled these issues over and over again in the lives of His disciples and these are the same issues that He seeks to address with us.
