Joshua and Caleb led a new generation of Israelites to enter the Promised Land and to possess God’s promises for the nation. They did incredible exploits, defeated the giants in the land, and saw some of the most spectacular victories recorded in the Word of God. However, they failed to raise up the next generation in the whole process. Within the span of one generation, Israel forgot the Lord and began to backslide. This is a lesson for all of us, both individually or corporately. We must seek to raise up succeeding generations that will continue to know the Lord and press onwards with Him.
