The Sin Of Lukewarmness

Published: May 6, 2019, 2:24 p.m.

This sin is the condition of many Christians and churches today. There are very few on fire for God anymore in the Pulpit or in the Pew. Both are filled with many cold, calloused, in different believers. Most Christians and Church'es attempt a middle-of-the-road approach to spirituality. They do not want chastening nor conviction that comes with God's word truthfully spoken. We want to do what's right, we just choose not to make a stand. The whole idea of Lukewarmness stems from a sin that snowballs into a snowman. It leads to an ineffective state spiritually. By the way, Satan is appreciative when the sin happens. He doesn't have to work as hard. Yet, In this passage, it is an understatement to know God is not pleased with any sin, including this one. We are taught to seek and thirst not to hide and watch. The bottom line boils down to how much we love God more than we love ourselves and this world. Where God is listed in our priority list, and how much as we sing, "I Surrender All", we really surrender. The sad and bad part of being in the middle of the road is in the fact eventually you will be run over. Open up and be honest, with God and yourself this morning! Is there any needed changes. Rev.
