Ron will be in Grand Rapids, Michigan Monday July 18th from 4pm-8pm and Tuesday July 19th from 1pm-8pm at the Collective Art Space, 40 Division Ave. S, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49503.(if you're GPS-ing it) He will be selling his work, talking with fans for free and creating new and amazing pieces on location during those hours. We all know The Beatles and many of us know about their feature film "Yellow Submarine", right? But did you ever think about that yellow submarine image? It's ICONIC! Where did the concept come from? How was it created? And then there were those fond memories and recollections of the days when we were growing up. Remember the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's even 2000's when there were brilliant Saturday morning cartoons for the kids to watch. Remember Scooby Doo, Winnie The Pooh, Krazy Kat, George Of The Jungle, The Jetsons, The Flintstones, Yogi Bear, Harlem Globetrotters, Heathcliff, Pac Man, Stuart Little, Duck Tales, Ghostbusters, The Smurfs, Rugrats, Goof Troop Ed, Edd and Eddy, The Beatles TV Cartoon Series plus dozens of others. Ron Campbell was involved in all of them and those are some of the most beloved cartoons that we have grown up with and enjoyed. But getting back to Yellow Submarine, it is coming up on its 47th Anniversary and Ron specifically worked on the Sea of Time sequence as well as Chief Blue Meanie and his boot licking sidekick Max.
