Malcolm McDowell is an original! He has fun with the parts that he chooses and somehow always makes them multidimensional, multifaceted, multilayered. Whether he is portraying Alex DeLarge in A Clockwork Orange, or the man who killed Captain Kirk in Star Trek Generations, to Dr. Samuel Loomis, Halloween's Michael Myers psychiatrist to his current role as Sheriff Cooper in Silent Night. The movie starts out in a small mid-western town, Christmas Eve Night, and the annual Christmas Eve Parade. Oh yes, one small detail, there is a maniac in a Santa suit running around killing those he deems to be naughty. I'm not a big slasher movie fan, I learned that Malcolm McDowell isn't one either, but this is different because it's done tongue in cheek. Yes, you will be terrified but some laughter will bring your blood pressure back down to normal throughout. I think you will thoroughly enjoy this film, Silent Night, and it's available on Blue Ray and DVD TODAY!
