EP10 - Pino Squillace (Music Producer/Percussionist) - EXPLICIT - Conversations with Calcaterra

Published: Feb. 3, 2016, 4:26 a.m.

What does it feel like to have a higher purpose? Music producer and legendary percussionist Pino Squillace found music after nearly dying from a drug overdose. The Italian native realized music was his calling while in rehab in Florence Italy and the rest is history. Nashville is now home for Pino and he has been busy developing his brand "The Other Side of 615," a sub-culture of the scene which he began developing while owning his coffee shop/music venue Cafe Milano. The famed Chet Atkins one of the pioneers of "Music City," who swayed the government from calling it "Country Music City" confirmed Pino's instincts for showcasing jazz and world beat musicians and to this day he continues on the path with their development in the studio and with their live performances. According to Pino there is only two types of music; good music and bad music. This episode of the podcast features excerpts of good music including; Kevin Max - Last Night I Dreamt Somebody Loved Me Aubryn - Civil War Danny Salazar - Reach the Sky Ben Sturgell - Carousel Aubryn - Number One Fan Learn more about "the maestro" at www.theboomlabs.com Visit ken @ http://kencalcaterra.com Special Thanks to our sponsors who have helped to bring you this episode.
