Roseanne made headlines with a huge debut of her reboot, the culture of Middle America was thrusted into the realm of debate. Was this reboot prescriptive or descriptive? What implications does it have?

I explain what I think about it and how most people I know around me (in Middle America) think about the issues raised in Roseanne. Then I lament the loss of what I consider to be an honest look at the family through television.

Finally, I explore what these ideas mean for me and how these ideas have brought me to Libertarianism despite the fact that I have mostly traditional and conservative beliefs in my own life.
