The Three Weeks of Mourning  Part 5:  Parshat Devarim and The Sin of the Ten Spies  -  English only.  When the ten spies discouraged us from entering the promised land, the Almighty decreed that no one over twenty years old would be allowed into Eretz Israel. The Mishna records that this judgment was made on Tisha B'Av. For those of us who have difficulty mourning over the loss of the Temple, this other judgment shows us that there are more reasons to mourn on this day.  Recorded August 6, 2022.
