Like any large Organisation it isn't all agile and maybe it shouldn't be? but if we look at the essence of agile being self-managing teams with autonomy to make decisions in my experience it is. Exploring my personal experiences of the Army we will explore through a series of short stories the essence of Agile to see what we can learn from some of the best self-managing teams in the world. Using the Agile Mindset as our base of operations we will explore the following topics: A Team Out on Patrol Teamwork in a war zone Relationship Building Culture We will also examine my experiences of how the world perceives the Army mindset to operate and why the current expectations of Veterans are miss managing expectations within the corporate world. By the end of this session, you will have a new perspective on how the Army is perceived and learnt some valuable lessons on how the world’s elite teams work.
