ISO has published a new version of its “Guidelines for Auditing Management Systems,” ISO 19011:2018. The new standard incorporates a “risk-based approach” and is meant to be useable across diverse management system standards, not just environment or quality systems. Denise Robitaille, Principal at Robitaille Associates, chaired the committee that wrote the new standard. She came on the podcast to discuss the changes.
