When companies operate abroad, are they accountable for wrongdoing by foreign business partners? Where should they stand trial? Cory Wanless, an Associate at Waddell Phillips, discusses a case before the Canadian Supreme Court concerning allegations that Vancouver-based Nevsun Resources was complicit in human rights abuses at the Bisha mine in Eritrea. He is helping to represent the University of Toronto School of Law’s International Human Rights Program, an intervenor in the case.
