Today Jeremiah is accused of defecting to the Chaldean army, arrested, and thrown into a cistern. King Zedekiah meets with Jeremiah in secret one last time. Jeremiah urges Zedekiah to surrender to the king of Babylon, but Zedekiah refuses to listen and is taken captive.'
