Luke 7:36-50
37 And behold, a woman of the city, who was a sinner, when she learned that he was reclining at table in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster flask of ointment, 38 and standing behind him at his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head and kissed his feet and anointed them with the ointment.

It is the Christians Love for the Lord Jesus Christ that is the most powerful witness to the lost world…an ungrateful, loveless Christian undercuts the testimony of the gospel and such attitudes are incompatible with God’s gracious forgiveness.  As we begin a new series this week called “Jesus teach me to…” we will explore together a richly beautiful text, Luke 7:36-50, and ask “Jesus teach me to….Live”.  What does it look like to “live” in light of eternal life provided by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.  Through the interaction between a Pharisee, a sinful woman, and Jesus, we will examine what it means to actively seek out God, counter culturally let our hair down to serve, and to worship our King with love for Him and others.
