Matthew 20:20-28
But Jesus called them to him and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

We live in a part of the country that understand the destructive abuse of power. Either on our school boards, our jobs, our homes, our politics, and even in our churches. In this world of ambition and coercion, Jesus hits his disciples with an unthinkable platform; humility. If we are to be his followers we are going to have to rethink our ladders of success. As we begin our Easter series, join us as we worship together the one who gave up his power in order for us see God!
