Act The Prayer

b'Service becomes a prayer when we serve our sisters and brothers \\nwith love and compassion that comes from God. If we forget that \\nGod is the source of our love, we deplete ourselves and end up serving \\nfrom our emptiness rather than our fullness. People in the helping \\nprofessions often speak about becoming drained, feeling dry, wondering if they have anything left to give. I believe these experiences occur not only when we forget to turn to God to be filled with love, but also when we forget to treat ourselves with the same love and \\ncompassion with which we treat our neighbors.\\n ~Jane E.
