A French-born artist with a hugely popular blog on zero waste living, Bea Johnson has appeared on The Today Show, NBC and CBS news, and been featured in the New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle, People and Lianhe Zaobao (Singapore) and online publications, including Huffington Post and USA Today. Bea Johnson is a native of France and currently lives in Mill Valley, California. She adopted the Zero Waste lifestyle in 2008, along with her family, have changed their lives for the better. They not only feel happier, but also say they lead more meaningful lives that are based on experiences instead of stuff. Her blog and bestselling book, Zero Waste Home (available in 12 languages), have launched a global movement, inspiring thousands of people throughout the world to live simply and take a stance against needless waste. Bea proposes a simple guideline, her 5R’s: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Rot (and only in that order). Bea’s vocation is to shatter misconceptions associated with the Zero Waste lifestyle and to prove that waste-free living can not only be “stylish”, but also lead to significant health benefits, and time and money savings. She also is the winner of The Green Awards, and has been invited to speak at universities, corporate events and conferences all over the world to share her journey and tips.
