“Begin Your New Year With A Breath Of Fresh Air”
Your home should be an oasis of clean air. Here’s why:
Staying healthy is a lot like making a good soup. We need to be concerned with what we put into it – we want fresh and wholesome ingredients. We want the water to be clean and pure. We want the vegetables to be vital and fresh. We also need to make sure nothing bad enters the soup. That sounds obvious to us, but the world has become complicated by technology and making a wholesome soup is perhaps not so simple.
We are what we breathe. That’s right. What is in the air enters our body and becomes part of us. The lining of our lungs is called the alveolar membrane. It is here that our bodies take in oxygen from the air. If the air is clean, your body is being nourished and supported with each breath. If there are toxic chemicals or allergens in your home or office, each breath becomes a challenge to your immune system.
We don’t always know why we are sick. You, or someone you love may be struggling with allergies, asthma, behavioral problems, ADHD or depression. Sometimes environmental illness is the underlying cause. That’s right, something in the environment where you live, work or play could be making you sick.

David Brook’s shared with me his story about his son’s life got turned upside down by environmental illness and how they finally figured out what the problem was.

David’s Brooks 13 year old son was a happy, energetic kid who was quite social and well liked by his friends. He experienced a rapid decline in his health. He became so sick that he was unable to attend school.
His family spent a fortune on tests without learning anything.
The breakthrough came on a family outing to the zoo. His son was having a good time, accompanied by his best friend, two siblings and his grandparents.  After visiting the penguin exhibit, the boy had to sit down.  After 5 minutes of holding his head in his hands, he started yelling and behaving poorly, not at all like himself.
His family physician connected the dots and believed that the boy was suffering from mold toxicity. His urine test revealed 450 times the normal levels of ochratoxin in his system. The problem was due to black mold that was due to a water damaged wall in the home.
Obvious problem right? Wrong!  The mold was growing inside the wall where you couldn’t see it.
What can you do to have a healthy home?

Remediation - What in your home could be causing problems? Mold is only one of the issues that can cause environmental illness. Mattresses, bedding, carpeting, drapes and upholstery can be harboring dust mites. This is a very common problem today. Sometimes cleaning carpets and other household goods with a high temperature shampooer can be adequate. Sometimes we have to be more aggressive and remove the carpet. Bedding can be covered with dust mite protectors. One of the simplest things you can do is to use green cleaning products and get rid of the cleansers with harmful chemicals.
Trap the suckers! Weather you are reacting to molds, dust mites, pet dander, pollen or to airborne chemicals (VOCs) you need a highly affective air cleaner.

Austin Air cleaners have a massive true medical grade HEPA filter to remove particles including dust mites, mold spores, pollen and pet dander from the air. They also have a large carbon filter to remove chemicals and orders from the air.
The effectiveness of Austin Air cleaners has been clinically proven in studies at leading research institutions including John Hopkins School of Medicine and The University of Cincinnati Department of Pediatrics.
