How will SpongeBath Work?
While you’re not using your sponge, your sponge will actually be soaking in the sanitizer inside of SpongeBath. Using a patented method, SpongeBath will freshen and eliminate odors, clean mold and mildew stains, remove soap scum and sanitize sponges, killing 99.9% of germs.
It is important to the inventors that the product is Made in the USA and uses green ingredients to reduce the chemical footprint in everyone’s lives. The product incorporates the highest quality components carefully selected for functionality, durability and design.

The inventors’ background:
Matthew Flannery (Founder, Co-CEO / CPO) – Along with Tod, invented, patented and developed SpongeBath. Prior to founding SpongeBath LLC, Matthew was a professional cameraman and still photographer for over 18 years. Film and television credits include Rounders, Boiler Room, 16 Blocks, Emmy nominated shows, Sex and the City (the HBO series and both films) and Showtime’s The Big C. Matthew has a life-long passion for science, technology and design and for creating elegant solutions to solve everyday problems.
Tod Maitland (Founder, Co-CEO / President) – Along with Matthew, Tod invented, patented and developed SpongeBath. Prior to founding SpongeBath LLC, Tod Co-founded The Hollywood Edge, the world’s largest sound library company with an e-commerce platform. He also founded New Deal Inc., a sound equipment rental company. Tod is a three-time Academy Award-nominated sound mixer. Tod has worked on more than 90 films, including Seabiscuit, I Am Legend, JFK and Tootsie. Tod is passionate about designing and bringing products to market that will help improve people’s lives.
