Sights and Sounds: The Ashton House
The Ashton House was completed in 1947 by Ned Ashton and is situated by the Iowa River off of Normandy Drive and Park Road. The Ashton House is on the National Historic Register and is now owned by the City of Iowa City. Near future plans include renting the Ashton House for weddings, reunions, events, and the like. The Ashton House was acquired with the aid of CDBG funds and will be maintained by the Parks and Recreation Dept. of the City of Iowa City.
