What Does The Bible Say About Homosexuality? -- 7 Key Bible Passages

On June 16, 2015, the Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage making it the law of the land. Many Christians are not supportive of this decision. When asked to explain why it is wrong, most Christians are frustrated. They don't have good biblical answers. If they point to the prohibition against homosexuality in Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13, they are told the obscure laws in that book shouldn't be obeyed. Doesn't Leviticus prohibit lots of things, like eating shellfish (I like shrimp and lobster!) or wearing clothing woven of different fabrics (My shirt is a cotton-polyester blend). If we ignore Leviticus on some things, shouldn't we ignore that obscure Old Testament book on all things? Isn't the Bible's big idea to be loving and accepting of all people like Jesus? If that is true, why are Christians opposed to loving same-sex relationships? In this message, we look at all seven biblical passages on homosexuality. We also examine Mark Achtimeier, the author of The Bibles Yes to Same-Sex Marriage: An Evangelical's Change of Heart, response to them. Join us as we examine the Bible on this important topic. Be prepared to give your answer.
