b'Yamraj explains about his own choices made earlier to attain this position and how he knew that the Permanent is not attained by the temporary and still he chose the rituals to get this position of Yama. Eventually he did realise the Truth. He also praises the vairagya of Nachiketa and how he has rejected the enjoyments of this world as well as of the Brahmaloka to seek exclusively the Self.
