020 of 108 Names of Lord Shiva : Trilokeshaha - The Lord of the 3 Worlds

b'Trilokesha \\u2013 The Lord of the Three worlds. Here the word three worlds means the Earth, the interspace and the heavens. Lord Shiva is the lord of the worlds also implies that he is the lord of everything which exists in the worlds and all the beings. He is the lord of the demigods living in upper worlds and the demons living in lower worlds too . He is also the lord of those living on earth .

Though every world has its own ruler and leaders, Lord Shiva is the supreme leader of them all . He is the lord who appoints other gods on their tasks and positions. This can be seen in Shiva pur\\u0101na
. He is the one who appointed Vaishravana - Kubera as the keeper of wealth etc. Stories of every demigod worshipping lord Shiva for gaining their positions is found in various puranas. In shanti

Thou alone, O Lord, art capable of giving liberation - the highest of all rewards - to men. Other deities like Vishnu only worship Thee, occupying the celestial states awarded by Thee. Unlimited is Thy liberality to devotees, and unlimited, too, are my worldly
desires. When art Thou, therefore, going to save me with Thy Compassionate look?

He is also called Sarvalokakrit or Lokakartha - Creator of 14 worlds. Sarvalokaprajapatihi: He is the master of all the worlds and all the inhabitants therein. lokaaha Sthaanaani, prajaaha tatra
nivasantaha cetanaaha, sarvaasaam lokaprajaanaam patihi svami

Lokapaalaha is also one of His names. He who protects the worlds. Shiva does so, taking the form of the well-known protectors of the worlds like Indra.
