b'Shree here means venom or poison. It also means radiant, adorned, majesty, glory. Kantha means neck. One who has poison in his neck One whose neck is decorated with the venom of h\\u0101l\\u0101hala. The dark blue mark of the venom which would be
generally considered ugly also adds elegance to him. Even unpleasant things become pleasant when attached to Lord Shiva due to His Compassion. When all the worlds were in danger , lord drank the poison and devi um\\u0101 stopped it in his neck to save the worlds residing in him.

One who drinks nectar and is immortal is Deva. One who drinks poison and is immortal is Mahadeva!!

Only the brave and mighty can swallow difficulties without perishing. It becomes their glory. Also, He did not allow His head or heart to get poisoned or embittered. He went through difficulties with great fortitude and forbearance, with a smile on
His Face. When we standup for a cause, people whom we are trying to save, may even criticise or condemn us. But the Selfless workers, take it all as HIS Prasad and continue to serve without any bitterness.
