Dr. Sylvia Mendoza grew up with her family telling her how important it is to talk to your grandparents about their history. This led to her passion for MAS, she is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas San Antonio, where she is actively recording oral history for the West Side Sound Oral History project.
