Episode 94 is about a movie that exists in the blind spot of many horror movie fans: “Street Trash” (1987). Before getting into this one, your hosts talk about what they’ve been watching. Aside from some apes, most of what Will has been into recently could all just be called “Pardon my Murder”. You know, because all those folks in England and Scotland are so polite, but somehow have murders anyway. Richard saw “Atomic Blonde”, really enjoyed it, and spent a lot of the movie wondering what the soundtrack licensing costs were. Since the studio mics pick up the sounds of dogs and helicopters, we wonder, “why not a screaming baby?”. And then, on to “Street Trash”. It’s set in New York and of course there’s a tough cop who plays by his own rules. He’s on the case of a bunch of homeless junkyard dwellers who get ahold of some recently discovered toxic booze that melts anyone who drinks it. Richard has a similar story, but the booze never melted anyone. So, why did “Brain Damage” work for Will, but this didn’t? Why isn’t Jolyon more put off by it? How is it different from a Troma picture? Is Richard about to rewrite it to lean more toward zombie fiction? The answers to these questions and more are in this exciting episode! Oh, and stay for the audio and outro song at the end of the show! #horror #horrormovies #horrornerd #horroraddict #horrorjunkie #monsterkid #bmovie #scarymovies #monstermovie #podcast #chewingthescenery #zombies #zombie #VHS #moviemonsters #freepodcast #denver #colorado #royfrumkes #jameslorinz #tonydarrow #nicduran #billchepil #streettrash #tenaflyviper #newyork #junkyard #vicnoto #itcamefromthe80s #1987
