Episode 27. The Exorcist. It’s remembered as the scariest thing you could lay eyes on. Your hosts say things like: “a really good movie, not terrifying at all” and “beautifully made but boring”. Is this because author/screenwriter William Peter Blatty and director William Friedkin contend that it’s not a horror movie? Although by today’s standards the Exorcist may not be particularly shocking, in 1973 there weren’t demon gods just wandering about, lopping off heads and selling cheap shirts.
