This April is “Cyber Techno Future Shock” month at Catching Up On Cinema!

All month long we\'ll be reviewing some of the goofiest “techno-thrillers” from the 90\'s.

This week, Trevor and Kyle review Irwin Winkler\'s, The Net (1995)!

A paranoia/conspiracy thriller based around contemporary hacking and computer tech being used to infiltrate and disrupt systems many of us take for granted, The Net (1995) is a dreadfully dull film with a solid concept and piss poor execution.

Sluggishly paced, dull to look at, and painfully dry in its presentation and exploration of tech and computer systems, the film is likely only remembered for the novelty factor of being an early vehicle for Sandra Bullock, a sequence wherein a character orders a pizza via the \'net (in 1995!), and as the butt -end of a clever joke from Seinfeld.
