A democrat for 40 years, Peter Sherrill says after he became republican his whole world opened up-“you start seeing things from entirely different perspective” He went to Grad school during this time and felt the need to learn more, search for more information, so he ran for Mayor-a city run by black Americans-Sherrill said how can a school system be so broken, crime, drugs? Peter lives in West Chester, NY and says social failure and governance in democratic cities is ripe.  Peter believes our country is torn, but believes we can be brought together.  Sherrill has deep concerns with the Republican Party since the death of John McCain. Peter Sherrill is the great great grandson of slaves of Belvedere Plantation of South Carolina. He was born and raised in projects of Mount Vernon. He has 25 yrs experience in corporate America working for Texaco White Plains, NY and was involved in racial discrimination lawsuit.  Sherrill later wrote a book about his time and the incidents at Texaco called Black To the future. After Texaco, Sherrill went on to work in homeland security-making sure everyone was trained in national incident systems, he trained with first responders, is certified instruction in weapons of mass destruction, and emergency services like COVID-19 or nuclear disaster or natural disasters.
