Kevin Glynn, MD, is a senior physician with Scripps Health in La Jolla, California, where he also served as chief of pulmonary medicine and medical director of respiratory care at Scripps Mercy Hospital. His thirty years of treating respiratory disorders combined with his personal experience as an asthma sufferer uniquely qualify him to tell the story of breathing. The former editor of the San Diego Physician, and widely published in nationally circulated journals, Dr. Glynn was also recognized for his contributions as a bedside teacher, receiving the Award for Sustained Excellence in Teaching at Scripps Mercy – and it is this ability as a teacher that renders his writing so compelling.
