CLIMATE CHANGE EXPERT: Tom Harris, is Executive Director of the International Climate Science Coalition (ICSC). President Trump on Monday dismissed his own government’s comprehensive report that concluded that unchecked climate change would devastate the nation’s economy. “I’ve seen it. I’ve read some of it. And it’s fine,” the president said as he prepared to depart Washington, DC, for two campaign rallies in Mississippi. Asked specifically about the study’s conclusion that climate change would cripple the US economically, he declared, “I don’t believe it. I don’t believe it.” The report — the Fourth National Climate Assessment — was released the day after Thanksgiving by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. It painted a dire scenario, contending that the country would lose billions by the end of the century unless action is taken now.
