The Batman (2022)

Published: April 1, 2022, 11 a.m.

Today's show is a discussion and review of Matt Reeves' THE BATMAN.

As we stated in our podcast that celebrated the Swamp Thing’s 40th anniversary, Michael Uslan purchased the rights to the Batman character and brought us the first serious Batman feature film in 1989 with Tim Burton’s Batman starring Michael Keaton.  Since then we have enjoyed 3 Batman franchises with Tim Burton’s and Joel Schumacher’s Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, and Batman and Robin (credited for killing the franchise) from 1989 to 1997, the Christopher Nolan Dark Knight series from 2005 - 2012, the Zack Snyder DCEU from 2016 - 2021, and finally, the latest incarnation of the caped crusader with Matt Reeves The Batman that begins in 2022 with a green light for 2 additional films to come.

The Batman it seems can be changed over and over throughout the years in many different ways from many different perspectives and we will flock to the theater to watch him in action.  If you’re a fan of the Bat or superhero films in general then you can’t avoid this latest iteration.  The Batman contained all the elements to hit big during today’s volatile film market in theaters.

In this show, we do more than a movie review by delving into the lives of the cast and crew, fan theories, trivia, scene breakdowns, and anything related to the film itself.  Needless to say, our shows are a little longer than your average movie review show, but we can assure you that our shows are jam packed with entertaining and interesting discussions.  If that sounds like your sort of bag, hang out with Kenny and Del as they get into The Batman.
