Defending Your Life 30th Anniversary

Published: July 30, 2021, 7 a.m.

Today's show is a review and discussion of the Albert Brooks' first big budget film, "Defending Your Life" on it's 30th anniversary.

Have you ever thought about the afterlife?  Well, one of the greatest comedians of the 70s and 80s, Brooks often pondered the afterlife.  His own thoughts on the afterlife was provocative enough for Warner Bros Studios bankroll Brooks with the largest budget he'd ever seen.  Armed with a large budget and the hottest actress of the times, Meryl Streep, Brooks set out to create his comedic take on the afterlife in this hilarious comedy classic.

Kenny and Del dive into the works of Albert Brooks, the history behind the project, budget vs profit, ratings, writing, directing, acting, scenes, trivia, and more!
