B.J. Evans, Senior Producer of Performing Arts at BRIC, hosts a bi-monthly show where she gives listeners a behind-the-scenes look at what’s coming up at BRIC and talks to BRIC-affiliated artists about their work.

This episode features BRIClab artists Laura Anderson Barbata and Katherine Freer, who talk about their upcoming project, The Eye of the Beholder, a new performance piece inspired by Laura Anderson Barbata’s decade long journey to repatriate the body of Mexican-indigenous mezzo soprano Julia Pastrana from Norway back to her home state in Mexico for a proper burial and funeral. Work-in-progress showings of The Eye of the Beholder are Friday February 15th at 7pm and Friday February 22nd at 7pm.
