Presenting Lyft: An Accessible App, A Partnership With Aira, and An Announcement for NFB 2018

Blind Abilities once again teams-up with Aira to present a review of Lyft, a ride-sharing service who not only has an accessible mobile app for both iOS and android, but who works hard on inclusivity for disabled riders. Join Jeff and Pete as they chat with Tommy Hayes, Lyft Sr. Policy Partnerships Manager, and Marco Salsiccia, Accessibility specialist about the company’s commitment to accessibility, their partnership with Aira, and their upcoming arrangement to provide “Aira Access”, where anyone attending the 2018 NFB National Convention can enjoy free Aira minutes in Orlando, Fl from July 3 – 8, 2018.

Lyft will also be present in the NFB Exhibit Hall in Booth B-12.

What exactly is Aira Access?

Experience Aira for Free in Orlando

Aira Access, a free version of Aira, will be available for the entire convention, so to take advantage by downloading the free Aira app on your smartphone before traveling to Orlando for the NFB National Convention.

Download the free Aira app on iOS or Android, sign in as a guest (if you aren’t already an Explorer), and get ready to explore and experience Orlando with Aira.

From the moment you land at Orlando International Airport, you’ll be able to connect with an Aira agent completely free of charge. After collecting your bags, you’ll want to take a Lyft rideshare from the airport to Rosen Shingle Creek or the overflow Rosen Centre Hotel, because Aira will be crediting those minutes as well, made possible in partnership with Lyft. And feel free to connect with Aira agents to explore the hotel and convention booths (including   its meeting rooms; the large session ballroom, the multiple restaurants; and the convention booths in the bustling Convention Exhibit Hall) because they, too, will be free Aira Access locations.
