Carol shares some of the most common resolutions that people set this time of year. Out of the top 10 resolutions that people set, several have to do with health in one way or another, such as losing weight, quitting smoking, and staying fit.

Unfortunately, only 8% of people who set resolutions achieve them. The good news is, there are a few ways to increase your effectiveness when setting goals:

- Making healthy substitutions rather than going cold turkey.
- Take "baby steps" toward your goals rather than trying to make a huge change.
