How You Can Enjoy Life without Stress (Part 2)

Carol Newman always strives to follow the healthiest lifestyle possible through natural, organic living. She is always ready to share information and tips to help others adopt better habits from reducing the stress in their lives to keeping their bodies healthy enough to handle the stress life does throw their way.

In this episode of the BioGirl Health Show, Carol and host Kimberly Henrie continue their previous discussion about how stress affects the human body. In Part 1 of this series, they discussed physical ailments associated with stress, like heart disease, endocrine system damage, digestive problems, and sleep deprivation.

Ways to Eliminate Stress

As promised at the end of Part 1 of this 2-part episode, Carol follows through on her promise of sharing information on how to cope with situations so that we do not wind up hospitalized with some physical ailment caused by the stress in our lives. Here are some ways Carol suggests for reducing or even eliminating stress:

-Slowing down and not working at a breakneck pace
-Scheduling time to rest during the day
-Listening to soothing music or practicing deep breathing
-Taking time to give thanks and practice gratitude for things you have

Listen in as Carol explains how just the act of deep breathing and focusing on things that bring you joy can reduce daily stress in your life. When you focus on what matters, it helps you prioritize what is important in your life, and allows you to spend more time on those things – like family or your education.

You Don’t Have to Get It All Done Right Now

Carol and Kimberly agree that taking a step back and a deep breath are both necessary for getting things done. But if you cannot get it all done in one day – that is no reason to stress! When you prioritize things you have to do, you can live purposely so that you get what is most important done first, and save the rest for later.

Finally Carol explains how to use relaxation techniques to ensure a good night’s sleep is the best way to battle stress. Your body uses the hours during sleep to heal and restore from everything you did over the past day. Tune in now to learn how exercise and eating healthy, when combined with a good night’s sleep can help you live with less stress in your life!
