Our first cast this morning on The Big Fish is with NSW Fisheries Biologist Dr Luke Pearce on the helicopter rescue of the Stocky Galaxias, a beautiful native fish, that now only survives in a three kilometre stretch of stream in the Snowies. A number of rare and threatened native fish have been rescued ahead of the ash runoff expected from the rain event after the fires.
