b'Our exploration of the San Francisco Waterfront begins with Kimberly Brandon, the current President of the San Francisco Port Commission. She is the first African-American woman to serve on the Commission and is the initiator of the Southern Waterfront Advisory Committee through which she engages the SF waterfront communities with development planning in their neighborhoods.

Brandon likewise engages with the community by working on the boards of PACT, Inc., San Francisco State University’s Board of Trustees (her alma mater), The San Francisco Foundation’s Koshland Committee and Professional Advisor’s Committee, and more. She is also the immediate past chair of the Board of Trustees of the Museum of African Diaspora, and serves on the Finance and Investment Committee for the non-profit Links Foundation, Inc. Beyond her finance work with nonprofits, Brandon has also had an extensive finance career with Bank of America, Morgan Stanley, and Wells Fargo.

We are so excited to sit with this wonderful San Francisco native as she tells the history of the Port and the development of the Waterfront.

Meet Kimberly Brandon!'
