#96 Claire Dowds: Ormeau Baths, Community-Building, & Treasure-Seeking

Published: Feb. 17, 2020, 5 a.m.

Claire Dowds is the General Manager of Ormeau Baths, a coworking space right here in the heart of the city centre where she spends her time building an environment where people and businesses can thrive.

As a lot of you know Best Of Belfast has been based out of Ormeau Baths for the last two years which means that I’ve had the privilege of getting to know and see Claire in action and I can tell you that she is the real deal.

Her life story — which we will hear a slice of today — has taken her all over the world and into more roles than I can possibly mention, but the thread that ties it all together is her love for people.

One of the things I’ve heard Claire say on many occasions is that her purpose in life is to draw out the treasure in others and I am so excited to dive deeper into that, mic up and record one of our many conversations about what it means to be human and build community in a distracted and often lonely digital age.

All this and more coming up on today’s show.
