Why God delays in responding to our heartfelt needs and prayers is difficult spiritual experience to comprehend. During the delay, God is in the process of creating and executing a noble purpose which can only be accomplished with the delay. This experience is not unique but part of the mysterious ways of God to strengthen our faith in His providential care. The Holy Spirit is actively bringing us closer to God and strengthening our faith to receive, with joy, the very thing we requested of God.The delay is to cause us to look beyond our circumstances, our sense of worth or lack of it, or any attempt on our part to ”induce God to favor us”. He is developing implicit trust in His providential love and care.
