Congress approved a $1.1 trillion spending bill to fund the federal government until September 2015 and avoid another government shutdown. However, several controversial provisions known as \u201cpolicy riders\u201d were added to the bill that will make sweeping policy changes, including relaxed laws on bank regulations, relaxed laws on campaign donation limits and a provision to overturn Washington, DC\u2019s ballot initiative legalizing marijuana. We discussed the bill and its sweeping policy implications.
