Gathering 95: Circle of Life

Published: Sept. 8, 2019, 11:30 p.m.

You probably don’t recall the very first time you were able to master drawing a line or a circle on paper with your favorite crayon or a chubby pencil. But any parent or grandparent will attest to the significance of such a feat. Yet these two simple geometric shapes first learned in childhood become even more significant when you consider how these two simple shapes impact how you will determine your world view, either linear or circular. For centuries, western Christianity authored itself through a linear world view with the natural order of life ordained by God. However, there is another option and its roots of origin may surprise you. Join Pastor Tony Minear, Ph.D. for an in depth examination of how our world view, be it linear or circular, affects not only the natural order of society and culture, but also determines the consequences and fluidity of life for the future. Listen as Pastor Tony explores an important question to ask yourself when considering your own core beliefs. Recorded live at Church of the Beatitudes, Phoenix, AZ on 9/8/19 Preaching: Rev. Tony Minear, Ph.D. Scripture Reference: Ecclesiastes 1:3-5 Hymn Referenced in Sermon: “All Things Bright and Beautiful” by Cecil Frances Alexander If you like what you hear, please donate at this link to help us continue to share this message of wholeness to enrich society: https://www.beatitudeschurch.org/online-giving
