Gathering 93: Have You Not Heard?

Published: Aug. 25, 2019, 11:30 p.m.

Step back for a moment from the noise. Away from the political and societal raucous, away from the din of everyday life and think about where your spirituality lies on a spectrum of strength of wellbeing and quality of life. Is it strong and purposeful? Or is it weak and fledgling? Can you hear God still speaking? This UCC slogan reminds us of the good news that God is ever-present. Our religious landscape, and in particular Christianity, is in period of transformation, a tectonic shift that historically occurs once every 500 years. Listen as our guest speaker, Reverend Judy Green-Davis, examines the changing climate of religion in our society and also within our very own church. Learn how Jesus’ example, when followed, can not only revitalize and reorient our thinking about spirituality, but also emphasize and sustain a purposeful community of believers who hear God’s “comma.” Tune in and see what we mean. If you like what you hear, please donate at this link to help us continue to share this message of wholeness to enrich society. https://www.beatitudeschurch.org/online-giving Recorded live at Church of the Beatitudes in Phoenix, AZ on 8/25/19 Preaching: Rev.
