Directed and co-written by Maurice Pialat, adapted from the novel by Georges Bernanos, and starring Gerard Depardieu, Sandrine Bonnaire, Maurice Pialat, Alain Artur and Yann Dedet, Under the Sun of Satan was nominated for seven César Awards, including best film.
