Directed by Bryan Forbes from a screenplay by William Goldman (based on Levin’s novel) and starring Katharine Ross, Paula Prentiss, Peter Masterson and Patrick O’Neal, The Stepford Wives garnered mixed response but has become a cult classic and entered the pop-culture lexicon.
