Directed by Michael Dowse from a screenplay by Jay Baruchel and Evan Goldberg and starring Seann William Scott, Alison Pill, Jay Baruchel, Marc-André Grondin, Kim Coates and Liev Schreiber, Goon was inspired by the career of real-life professional hockey player Doug Smith.
