Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, Sex Characteristics in Nepal

Welcome to the second episode of Avant-Garde-Grasp. In this episode, we discuss about Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, Sex Characteristics specifically surrounding the circumstances in Nepal with Rukshana Kapali. Rukshana has been one of the prime queer activist in Nepal. She co-initiated youth-focused Queer and Marginalized Orientations Genders and InterSex / MOGAI rights group with an intersectional approach called Queer Youth Group. The Group started their activism through advocating for legal gender recognition of trans and non-binary people in the citizenship bill of Nepal, and working with the Ministry of Education on trans and non-binary friendly provisions. She currently works as the Program Officer in Body&Data.

Avant-Garde-Grasp is a podcast series initiated by Rotaract Club of Kathmandu University Medical School that is determined to unfold different dimensions of social dogmas, medicine, philosophy, poetry and different perspectives of learning. The title itself appreciates the art and beauty of experimental ideas which are beyond the imagination.
